Historic Preservation Club of UMW

The 24th annual Ghostwalk will be held on October 31st, from 6 pm to 10pm and November 1st, from 5 pm to 10 pm.  Ghost Walk is the club’s biggest fall event and our biggest fundraiser of the year. Ghostwalk is a haunted tour of downtown Fredericksburg, sponsored by the Preservation Club of the University of Mary Washington. Experience the ghost stories of some of the area’s most haunted sites including St. George’s Church, Mary Washington House, the Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop and the Rising Sun Tavern. Tours leave every ten minutes from Market Square, where there will be refreshments and childrens’ games. Tours last about an hour.  Childrens’ tours will be the first four tours of each night. Tours run rain or shine.
