Historic Preservation Club of UMW

Each semester the club sponsors day trips to local historical sites and museums. Past trips have included Hampton House, Charlottesville, VA, Richmond, VA, and a tour of the National Building Museum in Washington DC. Suggestions for this year’s trips are always welcome and we encourage you to post a comment below with ideas!

2008- 2009 Day Trips

• On Oct. 4, the Pres. club traveled to the Waterford Craft Fair. The fair allowed opportunities to buy crafts and see historic homes in the area.
• UPCOMING!: Sat. Jan. 24, visit Mount Vernon, the beautiful and historic home of George Washington.  FREE admission! email jacqueline.a.wright at gmail.com by Jan. 21 if you would like to go. Remember to bring money for lunch and gas.
